What I Wish I Learned in School: Sacred Geometry
Part One
Have you ever been on a walk outside and stopped to admire a beautiful flower – its radiant color and symmetry so pleasing to the eye that you had to take in its essence? Or maybe you’ve been playing in the snow and paused to get an up-close look at the symmetrical crystalline structures of a snowflake. Each one is so uniquely different yet still perfect. We are surrounded by sacred geometric patterns in our everyday lives, but how often are we really aware of them? They create the fundamental structure and patterns of life within the entire Universe. In fact, the pattern of creation you went through to physically manifest into your earthly body moves in the same pattern of creation through which the Universe was formed. Wouldn’t one assume something that is fundamental to the creation of everything is something that everyone should be taught?
What is Sacred Geometry?
Most people, when they hear the term ‘geometry’, are reminded of dreadful days sitting in math class in high school learning about points, lines, and planes. What a joy it was learning theorems, proofs, or the difference between right, acute and obtuse angles. I was actually someone who enjoyed math, but I want to tell you that Sacred Geometry is infinitely more exciting than the geometry we learned in school.
Sacred Geometry is considered an ancient science that explores the study of divine proportion and geometrical patterns that are fundamental to the creation and structure of all things in the universe, including the Universe itself. In understanding these geometric patterns and vibrational energies, one learns the pure language of the cosmos and God. Ancients believed Sacred Geometry held keys of wisdom that were essential parts of education for the soul. It also weaves together foundational principles of numbers/mathematics, art, and music.
“There is Geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres.”- Pythagoras
The core of Sacred Geometry starts with three simple shapes, also known as the 3 primary keys to heaven: the triangle, the square, and the circle.
Triangle/Pyramid: Symbol for Spirit and the element of fire. It also symbolizes harmony, completion, and rising upwards as it elevates us to higher consciousness.
Square/Cube: Symbol for the soul and the elements of Air and Water. It also represents home and foundation.
Circle/Sphere: Symbol for the ending of a cycle, which is also a new beginning. It also represents the physical body.
How can Sacred Geometry improve my life?
As mentioned above, the Mind of God creates through sacred shapes and geometries, so by studying Sacred Geometry, you directly understand and connect more to the mind of God.
You also can learn how to use these energies to enhance your own creation to be more aligned with the purity and light that come with harnessing these powerful geometries. I recommend starting with the key foundational shapes before moving to more complex sacred symbols like the Flower of Life or the Sri Yantra so you can build an inner foundation and understanding of these patterns before working with complex geometries.
Personally, the more I study and understand the world around me, the more I realize how divinely intertwined and connected I am to the Universe. Sacred Geometry taught me to see the true beauty of, and feel gratitude for, the experience of being alive here in the physical. It also helps me to appreciate life and see the magick that is surrounding us every minute.
Where can I learn more?
To learn more about Sacred Geometry, I recommend you find the Sacred Geometry 1 class taught by a certified Modern Mystery School Teacher. This class is one of the many ancient teachings that you can find through the Modern Mystery School. This class will give you a foundational understanding of Sacred Geometry and will help to awaken these geometries within you. You also learn how to protect your environments from outside influence by creating a temple/sacred space to enhance your life. I teach this class in Southern California, so reach out to me for information about my next class or click here for more information.
